Occupational Objectives
The Salon & Spa Leadership program is the most comprehensive program offered by Health and Style Institute. If you really want to maximize your potential in the Salon & Spa industry, this is the program for you. Students will begin by preparing to pass a State Board exam and obtaining a License as a Master Cosmetologist. They will continue by obtaining a deeper knowledge of advanced skin care techniques. Finally this program will finish with an education specializing in Salon & Spa business administration and management. Upon satisfactory completion of the Salon & Spa Leadership program, the graduate will receive a Diploma.
Training Description:
This 1800 clock hour program will prepare you to pass a State Board licensure exam and further your education by providing advanced courses in esthetics, makeup artistry, salon business administration and management. Extensive instruction and practical experience is provided in cutting, styling, coloring, bleaching, streaking, highlighting, weaving, waving, extensions, braiding, curling, chemistry, relaxers, permanents, nail care, waxing, lashes, facials, peels, microdermabrasion, sanitation, state laws & regulations, salon business administration, management, leadership, retailing, advanced makeup applications, business ethics, resume writing, interviewing, and business networking. Career opportunities for Salon & Spa Leadership graduates include: Salon/Spa Business Manager, Style Consultant, Hair Stylist, Color Specialist, Platform Artist, Esthetician, Product Account Representative, Freelancer, Makeup Artist, Independent Contractor, and Salon/Spa Owner.
